Hey everyone,

We're doing some more casting for the Director's Cut. If you're here because of the video I uploaded, welcome to the BPS website! It's still in Beta, and it's hopefully temporary. More about that here.

The following characters are all open for audition.

Please follow the procedures exactly, as incorrect auditions will be discarded. This is mostly due to having limited time to work on the Director's Cut, and ensuring only those who can follow instructions are auditioning.

Feel free to post questions or comments below; happy auditioning! Smile

OCELOT

Unfortunately, the voice actor for Ocelot can no longer do voice work. This was announced after we had re-scripted a fair amount of dialog in the early Parts as well as added new scenes.
I very much wanted Ocelot to redo his early lines as he switched between many mics and was inconsistent, but now we're forced to replace him. You will be missed Peyton!

Description:
As one of the five main protagonists, your voice must be pleasing and dynamic in nature. You are probably the toughest and most battle-worn of the Spartans, yet you still have a soft spot where you once used to feel emotions of friendship and love. The ability to convey these emotions is going to be a key factor in landing this role!

Requirements:
1) Must be 15 years of age. This is not to discriminate, but to ensure an older, more mature voice.
2) Must have extensive experience and/or talent with voice acting.
3) Must be able to record lines for all nine Parts within one month of acceptance.
4) Must be able to respond in the comning months in the need of retakes.
5) Must have a Skype account for easy communication.

Procedure:
1) Record multiple takes of the following lines into one file.
2) Save the file as "name - Ocelot.mp3" where "name" is the name you preferred to be credited as. Note that we are only accepting .mp3 format!
3) Send the file to my email at Arbiter617@yahoo.com, titled "Ocelot Audition - name" where "name" is your name again.

Line 1: Standard
"I don't think this story has an end T'kan. Whether we win this war, or die fighting it, the story continues... because it's the combination of many stories."

Line 2: Frusturated
"Well I don't plan on coming back. You can run but I won't."

Line 3: Emotional
"They became closer, as we became further and further apart. But I didn't get in the way- I didn't interfere. I was happy because she was happy. I let myself drift away... she hardly even noticed."

FIRELIGHT

That's right, we're on to our fourth voice actor for Firelight.

Description:
As one of the primary antagonists, you must be able to raise your voice and express anger and frustration with ease, while avoiding technicalities such as microphone distortion or peaking. As an Elite, you must be able to produce a deep voice.

Requirements:
1) Must be 15 years of age. This is not to discriminate, but to ensure an older, more mature voice.
2) Must have experience and/or talent with voice acting.
3) Must be able to record lines for all Parts that have Firelight within two weeks of acceptance.
4) Must be able to respond in the coming months in the need of retakes.

Procedure:
1) Record multiple takes of the following lines into one file.
2) Save the file as "name - Firelight.mp3" where "name" is the name you preferred to be credited as. Note that we are only accepting .mp3 format!
3) Send the file to my email at Arbiter617@yahoo.com, titled "Firelight Audition - name" where "name" is your name again.

Line 1: Standard
"We have reached... the end of our Great Journey. But there is no salvation for you- no heaven awaiting your rest. You will meet Ooskoo and the others in the depths of hell."

Line 2: Angry
"How could you let this happen?! You must have been blind to let them slip past you! Or was it weakness? Was the great T'kan Ghanee, Zealot of the New Order not capable of killing one human?"

ELITE EXTRAS

When we posted our last audition for characters, hardly any of the elite extras got filled.

Description:
You will be chosen to play any of the many Elite characters which have not been filled. You may have anywhere from one line, to a few pages. As an Elite, you must have familiarity with their tone and style.

Requirements:
1) Must be 14 years of age. This is not to discriminate, but to ensure an older, more mature voice.
2) Must have experience and/or talent with voice acting.
3) Must be able to record line(s) within one week of acceptance.
4) Must be able to produce an Elite-sounding voice.

Procedure:
1) Record multiple takes of the following lines into one file.
2) Save the file as "name - Elites.mp3" where "name" is the name you preferred to be credited as. Note that we are only accepting .mp3 format!
3) Send the file to my email at Arbiter617@yahoo.com, titled "Elites Audition - name" where "name" is your name again.

Line 1: Standard
"Shipmaster! Zuka reports our ground facility is complete."

Line 1: Mid-Battle
"We've sabotaged some of their cooling tanks down below!"

I notice a lot of them specify an age for the person... is that age the maximum, cos I'm 19, so a bit over the bracket it seems.

I would have thought 19 would be a good age.

Must have a lot of submissions to sort through.

I'm not sure if you're consistently getting new applications, but if you're running dry on applications, and still haven't found someone, here's something to try. Even if none of the existing auditions "spoke" to you, it might be a good idea to get into contact with some of the applicants, and maybe work with them to see if they can do a voice that you would be satisfied with. Normally voice auditions are done in a very controlled setting, with input from the person selecting the voice actor. In this limited environment, applicants have very little opportunity to come up with a voice that you would like. So, I'd just suggest you get into contact with a few of the people who applied, try to work with them. You might get a voice you like out of the most surprising candidate.

RotS Director's Cut - More Casting Empty Re: RotS Director's Cut - More Casting

I think I have found a good Ocelot and Firelight I'm happy with now, thanks for everyone who auditioned! I heard a lot of great auditions, and as always, I feel a bit sad to see great auditions that don't make the part.

But the good news is, there will be one final opportunity to voice act, and this is one that almost everyone will be able to get the part on. Wink

Well now. Congrats to everyone who got a part! This is going to be an epic, I can tell.

I am curious as to what this ~mysterious~ final opportunity is. The suspense is killing me.

Oh man. Too bad I came late to the website. I would have very much liked to audition for Ocelot. I was the voice actor for Scope in the original. But now I have internet again and a much better microphone than when I started. Oh well. Cant wait to watch the director's cut.
